This was by far the BEST pulled pork sandwich I have ever had, Bar none!!! I love it when you can put everything in one pot and it turns out great. This was almost that easy, The hardest part was waiting the three hours until it was ready to start pulling apart. It was all worth it. My mouth was salivating with the aroma coming from the pot. The only downside was finding the Mango Puree. I can see why some people opted to just make it. Trust me, it was worth the hunt. I noticed that everyone that rated this recipe less than 5 stars did something different. Something to change the recipe. The first time I make a recipe I make it to the "T". After you have made it, then you can add or subtract. How com you rate something if you didn't make it the way it was written? Check them out. They ALL changed something. One person that gave it 3 stars used PORK CHOPS/!

I made this recipe as directed and it is a real winner!
I purchased frozen mango chunks, defrosted the package in the microwave and put the mango in the blender; it was a perfect substitute for pureed mango. My family really likes spice so I would put in a more serrano peppers next time. I find the chili flavor very mild for my taste but it has a wonderful depth of flavor. Overall, this was fun to cook and my entire family loved the flavor. We are Aarti fans!

I cooked this for dinner last night and got rave reviews. Because we watch our fat intake I used a pork loin roast instead of the Boston Butt. It was a bone-in roast and It was absolutely moist and tender and pulled apart beautifully. We didn't have mango puree in our stores so I had a little frozen mango and some mango nectar and I made my own. I also used a jalapeno instead of a serano because it was what I had. I served it with the slaw, rice instead of buns, and Mum's Red Lentils. I can only say "Wow!" and that's what everyone at the table said. I'm going to try it with turkey breast next time...

I am indian and I love pork. ha ha. I tried this recipe exactly how it said. It came out absolutley delicious and tender. I doubled the recipe so we could have leftovers. My family said this was the best pulled pork sandwiches they've ever had. It was juicy and moist. Well done Aarti. Since my indian name is Bharti - my children call these recipes I make " Bharti Party" recipes. LOL

We were rooting for Aarti from the first because we love Indian food but have not had the confidence to try cooking. The first few episodes have confirmed that Aarti is just what we wanted.
As for adapting the Pulled Pork BBQ recipe, I thought I am not going to stand and turn that roast, I need a slow cooker recipe.
So I decided to follow the ingredients as given by Aarti with a little extra water and seasonings. I just put everything in the pot and turned it on. I had a family pack of bone in pork chops (3 pounds instead of a roast. I didn't even puree the mangoes.
I cooked it for 4 hours on high and it was delicious.
The pork chops were tender and flavorful and inexpensive--Perhaps not pulled pork but definitely Indian flavored BBQ.

This is just the best pulled pork I have ever had! The sauce is so easy to make and is to die for. I reserved some sauce for chicken I will be cooking later this week!
FN has some great shows and stars but you are the first to bring smellivision to life -- you want to go out and get the stuff to make your food before the show is over! GREAT WORK -- so happy there will be a season 2!

I followed the recipe to the letter, (a first for me, and it is wonderful. Tangy, sweet, exotic! This may become my signature dish. Yes, I will credit Aarti. What a beautiful and inspiring young woman! What a future this young woman has! I am tingling with excitement for her.

We absolutely loved these! It was so easy, not much work at all involved. I don't understand why people are complaining about the time, it doesn't take much at all. If you are really counting the sitting in the pot time, seriously?? That doesn't make sense. The depth of flavor is behind spectacular! We just heard that you were signed for a 2nd season, it's absolutely deserved and we will be watching! Wishing you all the best, you are so talented!

I made this for a football watching party yesterday - big hit with our guests but wish it was easier to find mango puree. I ended up making my own but after 3+ hour of meat prep, that just made this a pretty labor-intensive recipe. Not sure how soon I would make this again because of how long it took but definitely worth the wait!

I printed out the recipe and took it to my best friend's house. I have been raving about Aarti and told her all about the comments that had already been listed. She put it on the fridge and today her husband (the bbq KING made it. It was so ahhhhhh-mazing! We will be having this again for sure! Keep up the good work Aarti!!
