I made this yesterday morning. I did add a little more pumpkin pie spice than the recipe called for but since I was at the end of that bottle it just may have been weaker than it should have been. Today the oatmeal is all gone. This made quite a bit and there are only three adults in this house. We couldn't stop eating it! It reheats in the Microwave very well. We tried it with honey, regular sugar and brown sugar and they were all great. I especially liked the flavor that came from using the almond milk. Took a while to cook, but definitely was an easy recipe to prepare.

If you like pumpkin, which I do, this oatmeal was truly delicious. I didn't have almond milk so I used soy milk and added a splash of coconut milk. My girls loved it as much as I did. For them I smashed a banana in for sweetness and a little extra cinnamon. Next time I think I'm going to try adding some grated fresh ginger into the mix as well. Such a great way to add vitamin A to their diets. Healthy and yummy.

I thought this was really easy to make and very tasty! It reminds me of a South Indian dish called payasam (great dessert. I definitely would make this oatmeal again...very comforting!

We used Aarti's spice combination rather than pumpkin pie spice - my husband loved it, I thought it was a bit strong and I'll try the pumpkin pie spice next time to see if it's a little more subtle, but overall we really enjoyed it!

This is a really good comfort food breakfast. I topped with pecans and agave nectar and it is wonderful. A great way to sneak some veggies into your children's diet, my two year old gobbles it up.

Best Oatmeal EVER. I don't like oatmeal and neither does my husband. It was beautifully orange and spicily fragrant. This made 6 generous servings so my husband and I had it yesterday, reheated it today, and will finish it off tomorrow!

I bought Gluten Free Steel Cut Whole Grain Oats. I ground my whole cloves and whole green cardomom (without the shells. Oh, and I steamed a whole, small sugar pumpkin, then removed the skin and pureed it in my food processor. Next time I will use 1/8 teaspoon clove & 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg (instead of 1/4 teaspoon clove to see if I like that flavor even better. I may add a few more golden raisins next time too (my husband likes a few more raisins.

I took Aarti's suggestion and tried Maple Sugar as a garnish... love it! Also used almond milk as a garnish instead of cream.

LOVED this recipe! I tried it using quick cooking steel-cut oats, because I love the nutty flavor and chewier texture. Absolutely delicious!

This was so simple, comforting, delicious and delightful. It heats up well the next morning. I topped mine with heavy cream and ground candied almonds. Thanks, Aarti. I really love your show!
