Soooo delicious!!! I didn't have any raisins on hand though, so I substituted dried cranberries---so awesome!!! Also, I topped with cream and fresh grated nutmeg. Luv ya Aarti!

What a wonderful way to start the day, with this delicious, comforting and healthful breakfast. It is very easy to make, and reheats beautifully with a little milk for those crazy work day mornings.

I had to try this recipe although I used Bob's Red Mill Muesli in place of the oatmeal, for a more variet grain experience. It was stunning! I even put a link to this recipe on my blogspot, I was so impressed.
This breakfast is homey, comforting and incredibly satisfying. Thank you so much,Aarti!

Just made the oatmeal for my breakfast for the week. It is delicious and will make it part of my morning routine. Love your show! I knew you were going to win, when Bobby Flay said he wanted to open a restaurant with you after one of your meals. I look forward to that. I love indian food but have a hard time trying to convince my friends that it is more than curry. Now they can see for themselves while watching you!

Fabulous! My four young children even loved it! I took it to work the next day and reheated it. All it needed was a little water (or milk and it was just like day 1. I also used lactose free milk, since I am lactose intolerant. Worked just fine with the recipe. Thanks Aarti!!!

Wow This is really good. I made it for my boyfriend who loves pumpkin pie. I was not expecting to enjoy this as much because oatmeal doesn't really excite me however, this one is rich, creamy and delicious. I used chopped pecans instead of pumpkin seeds because that was what I had on hand. I am excited about sharing this recipe w/ my sister who has 4 children. I know they'll love it and it is healthy for them. Thanks Aarti!

I love this oatmeal. I have made it twice already. I did not use any cream, and ended up using cinnamon and nutmeg since that's the spices I had. Cardamom and clove are wonderful though, I have to try it with that.

Very comforting. Feeling guilty about using cream, I topped the oatmeal with skim milk instead. The results was less than satisfying. I found that just a tablespoon of cream--with it's inherent sweetness--made a world of difference. So go for it!

Love Arti's show, and was looking forward to trying this delicious recipe. Made these modifications: used steel cut oats, and only made 1/2 the above recipe, added pinch of fresh ground nutmeg, 1 tablespoon molasses, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ginger. I also substituted craisins for raisins. Served with sliced apples lining the bowl. All the tastes of fall!
Would take cardamon down by half next time, and might replace raisins with peeled small chopped apple (which is points free, for my fellow Weight Watcher cooks out there.

The BEST oatmeal EVER! I prefer using the separate spices rather than pumpkin spice mix. Always add a little extra cardamom. A magical flavor I've recently discovered thanks to Arti! Just love her program and am a new convert to Indian spices. EVERYTHING I've made from Arti's shows have been extraordinary............
