    It was okay. I didn't really like the taste of the rice vinegar in there but I didn't use seasoned. I added more sugar and salt but I still tasted more of the vinegar.

    I would give it no stars if I could. What a waste of good rice vinegar! I love pickled things but this had to be thrown out it was so nasty.

    I agree, there is nothing original in this recipe.
    Neither is there any Indian flavor 'injected'.

    I thought Food Network demanded that the talent have ORIGINAL recipes. This is not Aarti's original recipe. I've been making this salad for years. What a ripoff.

    Wow! Who knew such a simple and easy recipe could be so yummy! Yeah, it was sweet but I loved this sweet salad. I actually didn't have any rice vinegar on hand so I used red wine vinigar because I thought (was wrong that's what Aarti said her mom used. It was amazing! I couldn't stop eating it. This will be a great recipe during cucumber season in my garden next summer :-
