This was super delicious! I didn't find it too sweet at all and the curry/cinnamon permeated the dish well without overpowering. I may add extra curry next time since I love extra spice. This is going to go on my long list of awesome Aarti recipes!

If you are opposed to using the "processed" cereal in this recipe you can substitute "Food of Life" brand "Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Cereal" the cinnamon raisin variety. Delicious and a nice boost of protein!

The first time I made this I wasn't all that impressed (I did skip the All-Bran. But I also think I undersalted it. It wasn't 'to taste'.
I've made it again, and it's even better with a bit of warm olive oil drizzle. I may at some point see how it works as the base for a cold salad, maybe with some chicken or something to give it a bit of crunch. I'm not big on processed foods, so I'll probably continue to skip the All-Bran.
The nicest thing about this is it's a good way to add some extra protein in when I don't have any meat defrosted for dinner and don't have time (or just don't want to go to the store.

When the quinoa was done, there was still a lot of liquid in the pot. I drained it out like you would drain pasta before adding it to the onion mix, but that made the dish rather dry. Did everyone else keep the liquid? To re-moisten, I added some olive oil, honey, and more raisins. I also thought it could use more cinnamon, so I added some more.

I made this as directed, substituting corn flakes for the all-bran, and it was great. This dish coudl be expoanded to include coconut, mango or peaches, and shrimp or chicken. Now I'm looking for other preparations for quinoa. It's faster than rice and better for you.

I made this recipe as written but without All-Bran simply because I didn't have any. Still, I thought it was great. I wrapped the leftover quinoa and salad in Mediterranean style bread smeared with a little hummus to hold it all together. Yummy! I'm so happy Aarti won.
