The recipe for Saag is very tasty without the yogurt. Once I added the yogurt, the saag has a bit of sour taste and it is not as creamy as we get from Indian restaurant.

Very tasty and the cheese was so easy to make. I served it over basmati rice. I love Aarti's recipes! Although if you make a lot of Indian spiced food in the kitchen the scents will linger awhile.

Yummy!! I cut down on the cayenne so my little 6 year old could eat it. Very tasty and easy to make. Great recipe!

It was great. Made the homemade paneer and garam masala too. The one serrano was not enough heat for me, so I'll up the heat next time, also added more yogurt, but then I like things creamy. The flavors were even better the next day. I agree that the paneer smaller than 1 inch cubes worked best, I love the flavor of the marinated cheese, it added the extra kick to an otherwise bland cheese.

Wonderful dish. We ate every bite and wished for more. Our only suggestion: If you buy the paneer, we'd suggest cutting it up into smaller than the recommended 1-inch bites and perhaps using less. Our paneer-to-spinach ratio seemed high. But again, great recipe. We'll make again and again.

This was AWESOME!!!! My husband and I love Indian food. Unfortunately, we have never been able to recreate the tastey dishes at home. We accomplished this goal tonight... Thank you Aarti!!!

Fantastic! Saag paneer has always been an Indian favorite of mine. I moved out of NY and now my local Indian take out doesn't have this on the menu. I'm thrilled I can make this at home. I've made this 6 times already. The paneer is so delicious AND EASY! To save time I make the paneer a day or two beforehand and keep it in the frig, just makes it a bit easier time-wise. I also like to add a few curry leaves to the onion-garlic-chile mixture halfway thru the cooking. They add a nice peppery flavor. I absolutely love love love this dish!

Love it! If you're not adventurous enough to make the cheese, or couldn't find any, I found that tofu could easily replace the paneer. It doesn't have the same cheese texture, but it's still really good.

I'm a huge fan of any Indian spinach dish in a restaurant (Chana Saag next Aarti?, but I've never been able to make it at home with much success. This recipe changed that, and with frozen spinach no less! It was fantastic, even my meat loving husband enjoyed it. Making the cheese opened up a whole new realm of possibilities, it was so easy. Love it, and Love the show!!
