My family and I loved this recipes. It was delicious. Flavors were interesting and had depth. We also love Aarti's presentation.

I've made this recipe twice and both times it was awesome! Had family over for my sisters birthday and made these little guys. They loved them and most never tried Indian food before this. I do think they taste even better the next day after it sits a day in the fridge.

My boyfriend and I cooked this together and we were a bit nervous because it was our first time cooking with any kind of indian spices. This was also the first Aarti recipe we tried.. but now we are definitely hooked. We followed the recipe exactly with the exception of using a jalapeno instead of a serrano. We LOVED it. The only bad part is that we ate almost all of it, so no leftovers :(. I guess we will just have to cook it again soon. I'm now very excited to try more of Aarti's recipes.

Delicious! The perfect way to update this comfort food. Everyone I've shared it with has loved it- even my 1 year old. (I took it easy with the Serrano.

I so wanted to try it but was hesitant because my 5 kids can be fussy eaters. I only put half of a jalepeno in the sauce and left it out of the meat. I used tomato sauce and did not add the water. The kids kept telling me how yummy it was, and all I could say was "Really? You really like it?" It had Indian flavors but wasn't too "ethnic-y". They REALLY liked it.

Fantastic Sloppy Joes. I did skip the serrano, as my 3 little girls aren't much for spicy. They loved this dish & it'll be a regular. Easy to make! Passed recipe onto several friends too.

I made this dish right after watching it on the show. My daughter and I prepared it together and it was fabulous! I had to substitue the coconut milk with almond milk but it did not affect the flavors. I love this dish!

I am not a great chef and have never made anything with an Indian influence. Now I can't wait to try all of Aarti's recipes! There was a lot of prep, but the instructions were very easy to follow, and the recipe came together beautifully. I modified it a bit to accomodate my husband's need for a low sodium diet (no salt added tomato paste, unsalted pistachios, etc, and the salt was not missed at all. There are only two of us, so we had plenty of leftovers, and we were thrilled to have left overs. On the third day, I addd a few more raisins to what was left and served it over brown rice rather than on a bun. It was still super yummy!

Easy to make and really really good. Even my fussy eater loved it. We ate it like chili just in a bowl without the roll. Great recipe.
