My husband and I absolutely loved this recipe. It has so many layers of flavors going on. It's definitely not your average sloppy joe! We will definitely make this again.

I omitted the raisins and pistachios. My family does not like them. I also used jalepeno instead because my family does not like spice. This is such a great dish for sloppy joes. Wish I could have found actual garam marsala, I refused to make it myself. I think I will let the sauce simmer for longer because it did not thicken up but was still rather runny

Wow, incredible flavors that blend perfectly well together! Honestly, even if you don't love the idea of the raisins, pistachios and half and half..it is so good as is!! Made it with basmati rice instead of burger bun.

This was a really good recipe. I used Jalapeno instead of Serrano because the store was out and I found it wasn't spicy enough so next time I will make sure to use Serrano. It was tasty and I made it with the yummy massaged kale salad....a great dinner.

My family loves this recipe as is. My son asked why anyone would want to eat regular sloppy joes after trying this one! I have also made this in the morning and left it sit in the crockpot on warm all day since we were all on different eating schedules that day. It held up perfectly :

I use ground beef, add cooked rice, and use as a stuffing for sweet/bell peppers! Just parboil seeded pepper halves and stuff with sloppy joe and rice. Awesome indian flavors and my family loves the "pods!"

I just cooked this 2 days ago, I used ground beef instead and omitted the raisins & nutts AND IT STILL WAS GREAT!!! I ready the reviews before hand so I DOUBLED the gram masala & paprika b/c I LOVE SPICE!!! also instead of half&half I used yogurt and stirred it in! I loved the flavor! I thought it really tasted like sloppy joes with an indian kick!! I WILL DEFINITELY make this again maybe this time I'll add raisins who know!!
