I am an avid cook. I am also Indian American. Let me say that Aarti's recipe is spot on. Not a single element is misplaced. I made it verbatim today and am so pleased with the outcome. I will add chili flakes in the oil with the onions and red pepper next time; my serano pepper did not add enough of a kick for this batch. The golden raisins and pistachios are so decadent. LOVE IT. Will definitely prepare again and share with my friends. May try tofu on another occasion for a vegetarian twist!

We loved this recipe! My son's gf was over so I left out the raisins as she is not a fan of them. Mixed reviews on the pistachios. My husband and I loved the surprise crunch but my son and his gf thought they should have been chopped up a bit. Usually I'm not a big fan of ground turkey but it works so well in this recipe. I will definitely make this again! Thanks for bringing such amazing recipes to us, Aarti!!.

This meal was awesome. I usually hate sloppy joes but because of the 5 star rating, I figured I would try it. My boyfriend and I agreed that it was the best sloppy joe we ever had!

Made this the other night, LOVED it. Twist on traditional flavors that works really well. May add a little more of the garam masala or cumin next time but this was delicious!

These were very good sloppy joes, a nice change to a beloved comfort food. I really wouldn't change a thing, we would definitely make them again. I thought the heat level was perfect, a little spicy for my husband but he still raved!

Thanks, Aarti for this great recipe. I watched you and voted for you to be the Next Food Network star, and I have really enjoyed your show. I made this for my family. The garam masala I used was pretty spicy, so the dish was a little spicier than expected, but the family really liked it! And ground turnkey cooks so fast, dinner was done in about 15 minutes! I love the ginger, garlic, cinnamon and raisins in this dish, it added a nice twist.

Tasty, full of flavor. Just a little heat. It was a big hit for dinner. I let everyone decide if they wanted on a full bun or open face. I will definitely make this again.
