Good stuff! I think it could handle even a little more Siracha.

Really interesting and different recipe, I loved it. I chopped the celery root into pretty fine little matchsticks, as it is definitely the most pungent of the ingredients. The dressing is delicious, almost with a hummus like flavor. I think my Fuji could have been a little sweeter, so I will try again soon and hope for the best! I adore Aarti's recipes, thanks!

delicious and different. Easy, easy dressing can be used on just about anything! I also shredded the apple as per another review, because I usually don't care for a slice of apple in my salads. Our verdict is still out on the celery root. We'll try it on something else to get another taste. Try this dressing! I think another reviewer suggested it over fish would be great, too.

This salad is AMAZING - I made it for T-giving last year and my whole family (all 24 people loved it! The pistacchio dressing is unique and is really the star of the show. I hate searching for ingredients I don't know about (i.e. celeriac so I just didn't put it in and it was still delicious. I've added in pomegranate seeds as well, if you like a little extra sweetness and some pretty colors. Lastly, I tinkered with the proportions of oil and water to make the dressing a little healthier - a little less oil and a little more water makes it a little thinner, but you will find that the dressing is very thick to begin with (almost like hummus so you can get away with it. THANK YOU!

Ummm. I'm sure this version is fine...but I'm a bit taken aback by the changes in the original recipe that have removed all the eclectic elements to this salad I love. There is no more ginger in the dressing (folks, add the ginger! There is a bag of baby spinach rather than the ribbons of rainbow chard. Apples instead of persimmons and pomegranate seeds. The original recipe was like it came straight from the Garden of Eden. This recipe looks like it is just fine... I recommend that people dish out to aartipaartiDotCom and look for the original recipe. Sorry, Food Network. It is just my own opinion. Aarti's talent seems to be dumbed down for Network consumption. That said these ingredients are admittedly easier to obtain for most of America.

This is absolutely a hit! We had to use jicima instead of cleriac and it was yummy. Best of all, FINALLY a delicious dressing that doesn't use mustard as the emulsifier!!! I'm deathly allergic to it and have searched high and low for a good dressing recipe that doesn't use it...thanks!!! All our guests love this salad, especially the "dressing", which we also use on meats, like roast pork loin.
