Our family loved the salad. Had never made anything quite like the dressing before. Enjoyed the sweetness and crunch of the apples contrasted with the nuttiness of the dressing and using the celery root was a first. Will make it again for sure.

Made this and the "I Ain't Chicken Chicken" tonight. My family LOVES this salad. The dressing is amazing - the Sriracha sauce gives it a nice kick. We will definately make this again and again. I would have never thought to make a dressing out of pistachios. I think I'll try to make one with pecans now...

I absolutely love this salad and the dressing. I literally taste tested the dressing more times that I prefered to count.
It is very easy and healthy as you can thin it out with water instead of oil!
I would suggest trying to find un-shelled pastachios if possible, my only wond was slicing my fingers on one of the shells...fluke!
Have fun and enjoy this one! I would highly suggest pairing it with the Not chicken, Chicken! It was a great way to have ginger and orange without being overwhelming.

Made the salad and dressing last night. Delicious and healthy! The dressing does thicken up as it sits so I added a little more water before adding it to the salad. I love the fact that you thin and extend it with water instead of oil! I also am going to leave it thick some time and use it in place of hummus. Great flavor!

I liked the dressing most and would make it again to use on other salads. The dressing is great with the spinach and apple slices. There's a warm cinnamon-y hint of flavor in the dressing. I searched and searched and couldn't find celeriac in my little town. I read that a good sub is pasnip but I honestly can't stand that veggie. So I used sliced celery hearts. Not bad.

This salad is delicious! I highly recommend it and will definitely make it again. The dressing is creamy, citrusy, garlicky and "pistachio-y"...so good! I blogged about it and added photos here: http://theenchantedcook.blogspot.com/2010/08/baby-spinach-celery-root-and-fuji-apple.html

I am so glad she won. I watched the challenge from the begining to the end. She was my favorite from the begining. Her smile, her spirit in her cooking makes me want to cook all the time. I am excited in learning to cook with flavors from India, I am learning allot from her. I named my recipie box, "AARTI PARTY RECIPIES" I cannot wait until her first cooking book comes out. I just watched her second show and could not wait to get to my computer to get her recipies. Aarti keep up the good work, keep that wonderful smile and spirit you have. By the way, I am thinking of wallpapering my kitchen like yours, love the red with the white and the design, wow...I rate your show 5 stars plus..
Thank you for your recipies and thank you for making me smile while cooking.

I made the bombay joe's and the massaged kale salad they are both great. Will try the ice cream from last week's show and some of the new recipes this week. Salad dressing sounds wonderful.
Keep up the great shows Aarti!
