My family thought it didn't have enough of spices in it. It was very mild..next time I'll add more spices.

Very Yummy. If you have never tried your hand at Indian food before this is a great one to start. We did not add the chilies because our kids do not like spicy. Other than that we followed the recipe exactly. It was very flavorful. The kids loved it. Highly recommend! This one is a repeat dinner for sure.

This recipe is so flavorful - it is the best chicken curry I've made! I used tri-colored fingerling potatoes so I don't have to peel it - I just cut them in half. The garam masala was hard to do since I don't have access to a store that carry black cardamom pods. I used a substitute recipe that toasts the spices but doesn't utilize the black cardamom pods and it worked just as well. I also didn't have the dried arbol chilis so I ended up using dried ancho chilis - maybe this is why it didn't give me much of a kick. I definitely recommend this recipe - I already have one friend trying it out today!

Great flavor! I added a little more of each of the spices at the suggestion of the other reviewer and it was very good. Also, I used a combination of potatoes, adding sweet potatoes which went very well with the flavors. We liked it so much that I will definitely be making again and am going to try a vegetarian version substituting the chicken for other veggies. Oh and just realized I forgot to add the honey... didn't miss it though, maybe the sweet potatoes was enough sweetness!

This recipe has all of the makings of a yummy curry, but it lacks the amazing flavor punch I expect in an Indian recipe. I added a significant amount of extra spice, including cumin, coriander, garam masala, red pepper flake, and some lemon juice (which really helped. A good start, I wish she hadn't been afraid to really give us a true spice kick. I'm not as savvy with quantities/combinations of spice in Indian recipes so I shouldn't be making it up as I go along :
