I made these quite a while ago, and am just getting around to rating them. I found them to be very decadent and scrumptious. I used packaged coconut, regular sugar, and regular salt. I don't remember any difficulties I had making them, and I didn't note anything on the page besides how they tasted, so I give them a thumbs up.

Scones are Scottish Not English as was referenced in the episode. And they are not made the way they show.

Did anyone elses' dough become very sticky? There's no way I could have rolled them out. Mine were also flat when I took them out of the oven. I've made scones many times but have never had those results. They had a great flavor though. I live in Oklahoma....maybe it was too humid.

These were very tasty. i rolled the dough too thin, so some of the scones were just round discs. i will try it again...they are worth the effort.

These were great, and definitely a "do again." I had never used fresh coconut before, so that was a bit of a challenge. I might try packaged coconut next time, but am not sure yet. I used "raw" sugar in the topping, instead of regular granulated sugar, which added a nice crunch.
