Wow! I made this dish last night and my family (all love Asian and spicy food thought it was a 5 star dish that you could get at any of the best Asian restaurants. The only modifications I made were adding mushrooms and red bell pepper.
The chili-garlic sauce comments for this recipe - totally depends which brand you buy as to whether 2 tbsp is too hot. We like hot, so I have a hot one, I have seen mild ones at the grocery store. Just make sure you are getting an Asian brand, not a Mexican as the flavors will be completely different.

Once again -- I made this dish, thought it was the BEST spicy Beef dish I have ever had. I will be making this often, changing up veggies or meat, like adding broccoli or bok choy, etc. My husband even suggested this would be good with shrimp. May have to try that next time! The sauce is fantastic!

This recipe was wonderful. I did change it a bit, as I wanted more vegetables in it. I cooked sirloin and removed it from the pan. I stir fried some broccoli, baby carrots, green bell pepper, and snap peas. Then added the scallions, garlic, and ginger, and continued as the recipe directed. I served it over brown rice. Deeelicious!

I love this recipe! I made it by the book the first time and it was great with rice! The second time I had chinese 5 spice powder and noodles so I added the 5 spice with the beef before cooking and tossed in cooked noodles towards the end... Super delicious! Thanks Aida

easy & delicious recipe. it is a little spicy but if you like spicy food, this has the perfect amount of heat. I added julienned red pepper & enoki mushrooms. We loved it. Will definitely make it again.

Very good! But be careful with that chili garlic sauce! I added the suggested two tablespoons and it was SPICY! Luckily, my fiance and I like things spicy but my mother wouldn't have been able to eat it.

But the rest was quite delicious. I served it with rice and it made for a great dinner.

Made this tonight for dinner . Directions were easy to follow. I added 1 more tablespoon/teaspoon of everything. It turned out YUMMY! My husband and I love spicy foods and this was awesome! Pored it over some Jasmine rice and licked the bowl clean! I will next time though add some red bell peppers and some broccoli just for some added flavors. I will for sure make this again.

Loved this. Really easy to throw together at the last minute and very tasty. I would warn people that 2T of chili garlic is mighty hot. I found the heat perfect for me, but the rest of the family thought it pushing the envelope. Even so, everyone still had second helpings as it was just that good.

Recipe is very flavorful. We like a little hot but I will adjust to 1 or 1? T
of Garlic Chili Sauce the next time. I served it with leftover rice.
