I just made this tonight and it was delicious! The chicken was moist and flavorful. It was easy to make ... just need the time to bake it in the oven. I will make this again.

I starting making this recipe for my family of 6 last year when I saw the show on TV. With 4 picky kids, ages 5-10, it is hard to find a meal they will all eat. This is the one and, it has become a weekly meal for us!! This is the BEST roasted chicken I have ever eaten, we never have leftovers!!!

I just made this tonight for my family. I think it was the best roasted chicken I've EVER had in my life. My daughter chowed all of hers plus some of mine. lol I added some extra garlic, extra lemon and some rosemary to the chicken. I love how the chicken is soooo moist!! We loved it!

Very easy recipe. Didn't have enough garlic on hand so I just crushed up what garlic I had and rubbed it all over. Still turned out great!

I tried this chicken recipe. It was the best chicken I have had.I fixed it for my family for dinner.I used everything but the lemon. We were talking about it for days.My son had his friend over and he said it was the best.I have bragged about it to everybody i know.I have been making chicken the same way and needed something different.I have put the recipe in with my recipe.I will definitely fix it again.I will try other recipes. The only problem i had was getting the pan juices to thicken up.The chicken was very tender and juicy THANKS FOR THE RECIPE

When I watched the episode I was very excited to make this chicken. I made it today and it was pretty tastey. My only issue was with the pan juices. They were pretty salty (I used sea salt to season my chicken and it had a slight bitter flaver. Not sure why/how that happened as I followed the recipe to the letter. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to simmer the onions and the lemons with the juices so I did. The lemons may have given the juices a slight bitter taste (I have read that if you over cook lemons they can taste bitter. I will make this again since the chicken was very yummy and moist.

The only thing I changed about this recipe is that I brined my chicken. I immersed it in a stock pot with water, one cup kosher salt, four or five cloves of garlic and two bay leaves in the fridge overnight. A few hours prior to roasting it, I patted it dry and then let it air dry in the fridge, flipping it over once. This makes the skin turn out crispier. Other than that, followed the recipe to the letter and LOVED IT. I love to roast chicken and this is one of my most favorite recipes ever!

this chicken came out so tender and flavorful - the dry-brining method used on the show worked perfectly. i've been wanting to try dry-brining out and watching this recipe on tv got me to go for it. the chicken was a huge success! thanks so much - I'll make this over and over again.
