I wasn't sure what to expect - I'd never eaten strata before. I forgot to rinse off the jalapenos, and I didn't add cilantro to the mix - my husband doesn't like cilantro. This came out great...I will definitely make this again! Since I love cilantro, I added it as a garnish for my serving, along with nonfat plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.

I hosted a girls slumber party (for my adult girlfriends and made this for breakfast the next morning and we all loved it! The others cannot wait to make it for their families this holiday season. I made it per recipe directions and it turned our perfectly. Thanks Aida!

Loved this dish. It was only for me so I used 4 eggs and 1-1/4 cup milk. I used whole wheat french bread (8 slices and I forgot about the cilantro, though I wish I hadn't. Layered it into a deep dish. It was perfect.

I made this for some co-workers after seeing all the great reviews on this item. I was worried about the jalapenos because im not a big spicy person... but this was soo good. I used broccoli instead of asparagus (just bc i didn't have it and everyone just loved it. I will definetly make this again

Wow! This was delicious. Both the flavor and the texture were excellent. I had to substitute a yellow onion for the scallions and it was great. Can't wait to make this again for family and friends. Be careful when you put this in the refrigerator to absorb the custard. I weighed it down with cans as directed, but a couple hours later the custard had spilled over the sides. Next time, I'll put a tray underneath. BTW... the kids loved it too. Thanks Aida!

I made this for Mother's Day brunch today and everyone had seconds. I used fat free half-and-half and sprayed the pan with vegetable spray rather than using more butter, but otherwise followed the recipe. Spicy and delicious, plus, I was able to put it together the night before and then just bake in the morning. Excellent!

Even though I knew I would like this, I put off making it because I was pretty sure the rest of the family would hate it. I went ahead and pulled the trigger figuring if the rest of the fam didn't eat it they could warm up the left over pizza in the fridge. It turns out they like it - a LOT. My daughter picked out almost all of the asparagus, but surprised me by eating the rest up including the jalapenos. The only change I made to this was the addition of some cooked pork sausage to bring it in line with a traditional strata. I thought the heat level was perfect, though my wife seemed to think it a bit too high. This was just as good, if not better as left overs the next 2 days.
