Very tasty! Vanilla was omitted from the directions but I caught that error right away. Wish the directions would have specified if the cookie sheets needed to be greased. I did grease them and had no problems with the cookies

These were great, and a nice change of pace. The recipe method does omit the vanilla, but I added it with the eggs. I also refrigerated the batter before baking to reduce the spreading, and only let them cool about 1 minute before moving to wire racks so they wouldnt stick to the pans. Next time I'll add toasted pecans.

This is a great recipe but I think it would be really helpful to have the instructions rewritten. I chose this recipe for the use of vanilla and while I busy following the instructions I completely forgot to add the vanilla... my homemade vanilla that I have been waiting to try for a while... I was pretty bummed about my mistake but my husband still gobbled them up! I plan to try this recipe again sometime soon and hopefully I won't forget to add the vanilla :

I've made these using semisweet chocolate chips and also used white chocolate chips and both were really good. I also have used cherry flavored Craisins instead of dried sweet cherries because they were cheaper and easer to use (didn't have to chop them up. We liked the Craisins as well as the chopped cherries. One of our favorite cookie recipes!!!

I actually saw the episode and came out specifically for the recipe.

I used TART cherries - and a bit more than called for...

I let the butter just get unchilled and not mush...

I used Guittard chocolate chips and UBER good vanilla...

My family SNARFED these up on Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning - ate every last bite. My Mom wanted the recipe for our family cookbook she is making....

These are GOOD if you follow the tips from your fellow reviewers. And use the most expensive vanilla you feel comfortable with.

These were delicious! I took them to work and they were gone in no time. Now I am being asked to hurry and make these again. Thank Aida!
