These noodles are excellent as far as the ingredients are concerned.
However, you must reduce the soy sauce, sugar, and other salt additives significantly in order to achieve perfection. My chinese friends thought they were quite authentic tasting and asked for the recipe.

I have been looking for a good basic EASY Asian noodle recipe, and this was exactly what I wanted. I used regular soy sauce and used a squirt of sriracha instead of the chili oil because that's what I had on hand. I will look for black soy to try next time...will also try adding cucumber, cabbage, and/or red pepper. I think you could pretty much add any veg you like.

Loved this dish. I couldn't find the black soy, used regular soy.

I did not use 1 tablespoon of salt because it was a bit too salty. Plus, I added slice cucumber, carrot and shredded cabbage. It was delicious! Thanks so much.

I'm a fan of Alex, but I found this recipe too salty and too much sesame oil for 1 pound chinese egg noodles. My family didn't like it at all.

This was great! I added sugar snap peas, carrots, mushrooms, and tofu. I served warm as a main entree. The whole family enjoyed it, even my picky one!

Loved this recipe! I served my noodles with some cold poached chicken breast for a nice lunch. Agree with 'my kitchen' about trying chicken marinated in this sauce. Also am thinking about marinating pork then cooking up in a stir fry...

Way, way too salty! I would leave out the salt. The black soy sauce I bought was very salty. I should have tasted it before I added the tablespoon of salt that the recipe call for.

This recipe was GREAT....I followed it to the "T" everything blended so nicely...cheated on the chili oil and bought a small bottle, also fresh chinese egg noodles are great...next day was even better after everything got a chance to really flavor up overnight, maybe I will try to marinate some small chicken portions in the sauce, then cook them up....bet it will taste great...try these noodles, you will love them!!!
