I made these a few days ago. Unfortunately, I had no dark soy sauce, only regular. They were very strong. My daughter and husband couldn't eat them but I loved them!

This is great, my mom made a version of this recipe for me growing up all the time. I didn't have it for years and I just started making it again but added my own twist. After cooking the pasta I blanch snap peas in the salted pasta water and throw them in with the cooled pasta. For the sauce I mix dark sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and hot chili oil (not too big on sweet with my savory!. Then toss with minced garlic and sesame seeds too (sesame seeds are key!!. It's amazing and everyone loves it! definitely worth a try if you like this pasta!!

OMG! This was delicious!! and sooo easy to make. My husband and I love it! Never thought I'd like a cold chinese noodle salad, but this was great. I added some fresh tomato when I served, simply fabulous. Thank you Alex.

Easy to make and it tastes great. Could not find Black soy sauce, so substituted with regular soy sauce and black strap molasses (equal parts. Will make again.

I would just buy regular or light soy sauce and add a tiny bit of molasses to it.This recipe looks so good. Its easy to find chili oil in the store.I believe the name of the store is Kam Man.

Excellent, great flavor and easy to make. Did anyone catch the name of
the Asian grocery store in NYC where she bought the noodles and black
    soy sauce?

From the moment I saw the recipe and heard the ingredients I couldn't wait to make it! Totally yummy and couldn't stop eating it! The dressing itself would be great for a multitude of things! JSYK Black Soy Sauce isn't the same as regular, you have to find it at a specialty market (its also known as sweet soy i was also lazy and bought the chili oil!
