I also agree that this was not the same recipe she had on the show. I was so looking forward to the dense texture that the Coffee Cake appeared to have on the show. My whole family was disappointed with it. Even tried cooking one a little under done and it just tasted like raw dough. This will make it hard to trust any of Alex's recipes again. Mediocre at best.

Made it for Thanksgiving breakfast and we loved it!!!!! I know it didn't look like the show's density, but the sweet/salty mixture was fantastic. So moist and crunchy topping. I used a springform pan & it was done in 30 min., but check with a toothpick.
thanks Alex! Will be using this for holidays & company!

I agree that this was not the cake that Alex made on the show. The one on the show was in a pie plate and more dense. The cake itself was good but topping tasted too salty. Next time I will either omit the salt or use unsalted butter.

Made this coffeecake and it is wonderful. It is so moist, not overly sweet. Only thing is, it looked nothing like what was shown. I agree with another her's looked like a pecan base pie, mine? It looked like a coffeecake. Will for sure make it again!.

dissapointed I watched alex make this cake on best thing I ever made..it looked like she put it in a pie plate and when she served it ..it looked kind of like a pecan pie filling but all it was was a sour crem coffeee cake not the unusual cake it looked like when she made it.and she said it took 22 to 30 minutes and it was at least 45 would love to know what cake she made it certainly wasn't the one I did

This was awesome!! I baked mine in a 9x13 glass pan for 35 minutes. It was also not as dense as it looked in the tv show, but nonetheless it was great! Definitely will be making this on Thanksgiving morning. Must give it a try!! Oh, and it smells like Heaven in my house

Smells and tastes just like the Sour Cream Coffee Cake my mom used to make....Love it! I did mine in a spring form pan, and it takes at least 45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean...Just an FYI.
