I will admit I do not like any thing cranberry. I watched the Cooking Loft and the Cranberry Sauce looked wonderful so I thought that I would try it for the Thanksgiving Dinner at my In-laws. I was one of the first to try it and let me say that I went back for a second helping, and a big one at that. The aroma alone smelled delicious.
Maybe Ocean Spray should put THIS recipe on the back of their bag instead of what they have. Because if my grandmother would have used this recipe years ago I would have been eating it a long time ago.

Like another reviewer, I don't think I'll ever eat canned again. And my husband, who didn't even like cranberry sauce, enjoyed it. It was quick and easy to make. Used a 12oz bag and only used 1 1/2 cups of sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Had no cinammon stick so added 1/2 tsp of cinammon. It was delicious. We enjoyed it on Thanksgiving so much that we had some the next morning for breakfast spread on our english muffins. Please give it a try.

This is the best cranberry sauce ever! We substituted 3 tangerines for the orange and used fresh ground nutmeg. OMG! It's so simple to make and the flavor is the best. I'll never eat canned cranberry sauce again! Thanks Alex!

This cranberry sauce is fantastic. I has a nice depth of flavors and everyone in my family loves it. The other person who reviewed the recipe should have been tasting as they were preparing it like any other dish one would make. I always taste the food I am preparing while it is being seasoned. This really is an easy, wonderful recipe. I would never eat canned cranberries again.

This was very easy to make and tastes great. My kids are cranberry sauce lovers and they both liked it. I did a few changes. I did not have a naval orange so I used a tangerine gave it a good flavor. I also added some diced apple and it was a big hit. I will make this again.
