Simple and delicious! The orange zest and juice add just the right zing! Why would anyone make canned, when this is so much better!

Use recipe as-is. If you like tart and spice then use this recipe. For me it was too much allspice and/or nutmeg.
Really confused how anyone would say this was sweet. Way to tart for that.
It was easy to make. A bit runny, but not extreme.
The ratings are supposed to be for this specific recipe, so if you modify the recipe like so many have, you really should not give it 5 stars.

So easy! I agree that the sugar is a matter of your sweet tooth. We used a tad less than the 2 cups. I also added a little extra water than called for. I also agree that if you want a "saucier" sauce it will take a little bit longer on the simmer time. Excellent recipe as it is and very easy to bend to your taste.

Absolutely fabulous!!! This was my first time making fresh cranberry sauce and it was a huge success. Everyone raved and asked for the recipe. I will never go back to eating canned again. I used two 12 oz. bags of cranberries and kept the rest of the recipe the same. After tasting, it was a bit too tart so I made a little simple syrup, added that and it was perfect. you ROCK Alex!!!

this is THE best cranberry recipe I've ever tried. I like it because I like my cranberry sauce a little sweeter, but if you prefer it less sweet, use less sugar, it will turn out just fine with the use of less. Thanks Alex!
