excellent and easy. took me a little longer to make but really that did not detract from doing this recipe again and again. agree a bit too much sugar, I would use one and a half cups next time. otherwise loved it!

Wish I read the reviews before I made it. 2 cups of sugar is waaaay too much. Other than that is awesome!

I added my own little twist too... I've always like Cran-raspberry sauce so I first did what you guys suggested regarding the two bags of cranberries along with the remaining ingredients as list. I also added a couple teaspoons of raspberry liqueur once the cranberries were ready to simmer. During the remaining few minutes of the simmering stage I then added a 6oz basket of fresh raspberries. Turned out great!

Excellent!! My husband loves the canned cranberry sauce, but he couldn't stop eating the batch I just made.

Too sweet! Added the juice of one lemon and kind of fixed it. Next time, only one cup of sugar.

My three year old just helped me finish this and it is so good we licked the pot clean. I am thinking it might be great over vanilla ice cream.

I thought it may be too sweet so I only used 1c of sugar and 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg, 1 cinnamon stick and the orange for a 12 oz. bag of cranberries and it came out very tasty.

    Great Cranberry Sauce base recipe!
I stared out with only one cup of sugar and added additional tablespoons as it cooked based on how tart I wanted it to be.
I also used hard cider instead of water for extra depth of flavor.
    Thanks, Alex!
