This was my first time making homemade cranberry sauce. I used a 12oz. bag of cranberries and 1 cup of sugar...it was a little too sweet. I added the zest and juice of 2 lemons and really liked it.

This is reallllly goood cranberry sauce. I made it for Thanksgiving and it was a big hit. I made a double batch in use it in plain yogurt for breakfast and on turkey sandwiches. It's duhlish!

The allspice and nutmeg makes this recipe stand our. I used 2 cups of Swerve instead of 2 cups of sugar and it worked just as well. I also used the zest of half the orange, and half of a cinnamon stick. Knowing me, I'll add some organic salt-free nuts and eat it all by itself!

I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it even the people who swear they hate cranberry sauce. Too many people only know the can taste and don't the real sauce a chance but it is so much better then the canned nastiness. It's so easy and fast to make. I did only use 1 1/2 cups sugar because other commenters said it was too sweet with the full 2 cups of sugar and it would have been had I added it all.

Perhaps, there was a typo somewhere. I loved the spices, but the orange combined with the zest left a very overpowering taste. I would reduce the amount of orange next time.

This cranberry sauce was simply delicious! It is very sweet and a little tart. The spices compliment it nicely and aren't overpowering. The orange adds a fresh citrus flavor as well. I am not partial to cranberry anything, but I made this yesterday for Thanksgiving and thought it tasted amazing. My family couldn't get enough of it. I used a bag and a cup worth of cranberries. Next time I will probably use 2 bags. You should make this if you are considering it.

This is the only cranberry sauce I would ever eat ~ it is sweet & bitter in the perfect balance! So easy to make too and I mean really easy to make. It looks so good on the table because it's homemade & looks like it took a lot of time! Our little secret!

Instead of 1 lb of cranberries, I used 2 twelve oz. bags...that is what they sell at the store. This cut down on any of the extra sweetness that some other reviewers complained about. Also, I zested 1.5 oranges, just because I really like the orange flavor (I think it also helps to cut the sweet factor. Great spice mix, kept the measurements the same, even though I used more cranberries. Really tasty! :
