Five Star chicken soup, all the way. Alex nailed this one. My only spin on this recipe is the Parmesan Gnocchi. We have an Italian specialty market, in our area. Pasta items can be ordered ahead and picked up the day you need to use them. Made a double recipe. No one got any leftovers. They ate it all. It is now a family favorite.

Bacon and chicken soup with pasta and potatoes? These ingredients do not play well together. Did not like it at all!
This soup does not work and has an identity crisis.

Amazing Dish. I made it easier by buying the Gnocchi the second time I made this and that made this dish a lot easier to make.

A lot faster & easier if you buy frozen gnocci.

Made this and my whole family loved it. Took a bit of work for the preparation, but well worth it. Took the advise of another review and added an egg to my gnocchi mixture.

This was a really yummy soup. I replaced the spinach with escarole in true Italian style. I added it while the veggies were still cooking. It was perfect

I had never cooked soup before, and decided to start learning with this recipe. I was scared at first, but it turned out super delicious. Everyone loved the soup.

Just okay. The Gnocchi was thick, heavy, and rich. The basil left a weird taste. Wouldn't make this again.

Alex is a chef, not a cook. I look forward to her recipes such as the Italian chicken soup. She has a very informative show, I like how she converts simple food into gourmet fare.

This soup is wonderful. But when I added the Gnocchi, it seemed overdone...my Gnocchi turned out really rich...with the toasted bread crumbs AND cheese. I left out the egg drizzle...what can I say, I didn't feel like "painting" my soup. But, the soup just by itself is out of this world!!! The spinach really makes it, so don't even think about leaving that out!
