I loved how the shrimp came out and will make shrimp that way again, however, I was disappointed in the dip/sauce. The texture was fine but I thought the taste was dull, It won't stop me from making Alex's future recipes, though. I think she's great!

I made this for my family's Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone loved the shrimp but did not care for the sauce. We did like the shrimp with a yummy cocktail sauce though. Thanks Alex!

Made it and it came out great! To the 2 bimbo "reviewers" who messed it up...yeah WHY do you watch Alex ...buy the food and attempt to make it???? When I see that the majority of people have sucess with a recipe and there is at least 2 that screw it up either they can't read can't follow directions or can't cook!!!!! It wasn't difficult at all. If you can't cook it's ok....not everyone can, Maybe you should start out with something simple...like JELLO!
    Thanks Alex!

First, the review stating they only used the vinegar as shown: the show had BOTH lemon and vinegar.
The shrimp broth was great. Sauce was ok but other sauces would be better for my taste.

We loved the poached shrimp, the flavor was light and refreshing by itself. It was perfect. I made the sauce too. It is important to make the sauce while the potato is warm. I used a small idaho potato which fit in my hand without hanging out very much. It is also important to use warm/hot water as well. I didn't have a blender but used my hand mixer and it the recipe turned out fine. Personally, I didn't like the sauce and I was diappointed in myself for not enjoying the sauce more, but I was happy that I was adventurous to try. Alex's show encourages me to get up close and personal with my food and I am a better cook for it.

We loved this. Every Saturday we watch Food Network and my husband picks out something he wants. The shrimp were perfect, aloi delicious. I added it to chicken salad the next day as i like curry in my chicken salad, success. Along with this episode i did the spinach salad and French 75. I love all of Alex's recipes and look forward to her show.

I just finished making this for tonight's dinner. The sauce is wonderful, and this is one of the best ways I've used to poach shrimp. They cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. One note with the sauce, I did not use lemon juice, rather I used the red wine vinegar she used in the actual episode. I would definitely make this again.

I tried this recipie and it was horrible. The sauce was glommy and did not taste at all good. Nothing I tried to do would save it. I suspect that it was the size of the potato. I did manage to save the shimp by throwing out the sauce and subsituting store bought spicy seafood sauce. I will never try this one again. Actually, I would like to comment that a number of Alex's recipies are not very good. I keep hearing her brag about her time working in French Bistros etc, but it makes one wonder if she was, perhaps, asked to leave. Sorry Alex.

WONDERFUL!! It doesn't take a "mastermind" to prepare(otherwise I would be in deep curry sauce.
