This is the best green bean casserole you will ever eat! It really is a GREAT recipe. I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and used baby portabellas instead of button mushrooms. It is SO GOOD! I made it two years in a row and this last thanksgiving we went to my in laws and she asked me to bring the GB casserole. I guess it is "my dish" to make now! Thanks Alex!

This was the best GB casserole i have ever eaten! Just happened to be walking by the TV a few days before Thanksgiving and saw the show. I used every bit of the cayenne, could have used more, but i have a high heat tollerance! My son is a vegetarian so i used vegi stock, Delicious!

Delicious! Added about half the cayenne as i was cooking for people that are not too keen on heat. Everyone loved the dish & i liked the way all the flavours came through. Easy to put together & adds a nice twist on an old classic. I made this up ahead of time & kept it warm in a crockpot. Thank-you.

I made this for Thanksgiving Dinner. It was FABULOUS!!! The family loved it. Since I had to travel with it, instead of finishing it on the stove. I put it in my crock pot on high for about an hour. I also doubled the recipe and it filled the pot nicely.

Quite a unique flavor. There was enough sauce for nearly twice the amount of beans. I did use only about half the cayenne, figuring that once all cream was added I could add more if I wanted. I fried the shallots in a shallow 7" frypan, so that I didn't have to use a lot of oil. Worked just fine. Great improvement on a classic!

Since Im not a fan of anything canned I have always made Giada's spicy parmesan green beans & kale for Thanksgiving but decided to mix it up this year . I didn't have cayenne so used regular black pepper instead. Love this recipe ! So delicious full of flavor and super easy to make. It's a keeper ! Yummy !!!

Okay.. I cheated on one big thing! Canned green beams because I had them and no fresh when I found the recipe.. Followed mushroom part to a "T".. Even did the shallots.. Yummy!! I used 4 cans of beans since I didn't have fresh.. AMAZING! the best I agree however with previous reviews about the cayenne pepper.. Although most of my family love spicy, the amout specified was a bit too much. Cut in half would be perfect! You definitely want it though! I also added about 1/4 C Pinot Grigio as suggested by a review.. Mmm do over for sure!

WOW, DEEELISH, I made this, This morning for my Family's Thanksgiving lunch. I made it exactly how Alex did in her video and the recipe'. It was so YUMMY, My entire Family just LOVED it as did I. A very big hit, No leftovers, Bummer !. I will never make the canned soup with Frenches fried onions version again ! I loved the fact that this had a video to watch, It makes it so much easier to make when you actually can see it being made and put together, ect. I would tell anyone to switch to this version, So YUMMY !!!!

Love it!! I could eat the mushroom sauce as soup. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmm I did use French's Fried Onions. I steamed the green beans and made the sauce the day before. Assembled it and heated it in the oven with the onions. Awesome!
