Ingredients

  • 6 raw sugar or brown sugar cubes
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 6 ounces gin
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine

Directions

Put a sugar cube in each of 6 Champagne glasses. Use a vegetable peeler to remove a few pieces of orange peel. Trace around the rim of each Champagne glass with the orange peel to give it that hint of orange. Halve the orange and squeeze some juice into each glass. Add a squeeze of lemon juice to each glass also.

Add 1-ounce of gin to each glass. Stir to blend and top with sparkling wine. Serve immediately. This can be made in a pitcher as well.

The raw sugar is much better for you.

Yes, it sounds great (5 star idea. However I also have the same question.
    Would regular sugar cubes work?
I'm not sure and would love to use raw or brown sugar if I can find it in cubes.
    Thanks for any ideas~

It sounds fantastic, but where do you find 'brown' sugar cubes?
