Very very tasty. Loved it very much. I really love Alex's dishes, I've yet to be disappointed. She's starting to be my favorite chef.

I made the tapenade and it it wonderful. I use it on chicken, fish and even on baked potatos. It lasts a long time in the refriderator too.

Absolutely delicious. First time I've used one of Alex's recipes, but it won't be the last. The green olives I happened to have were stuffed with jalapenos, and I left them in, which gave the tapenade a nice kick. Never would have thought to put those together....and it was good without the tapenade, but with it, mmmmmmmmmm extra special.

Positively the best roasted chicken! I usually find roast chicken boring, this was anything but. Only change I made was on the tapanade, I added roasted garlic gloves and oven roasted tomatoes, which made the tapenade over the top.

Absolutely sublime! I was salivating while watching this episode, then ran straight to the farmers' market and grabbed a chicken. I've had a lot of great roasted chickens but this one is over the edge. This changed my feelings about tapenade, which I usually find too cloying. The mixture of green and black olives makes all the difference--and what a brilliant touch to add whiskey. The crunchy lemon butter is a perfect complement. If you're lucky enough to have leftovers, they make a fabulous sandwich. Definitely not going to do your waistline any favors, but it does wonders for the soul. Can't wait to try the clam recipe from this show.

I saw this episode of Alex's Day Off and I could almost smell and taste how good the chicken was.. And it was, I made it last night for friends and got rave reviews. The tapenade was a perfect accompliment, lent the right amount of saltiness to the finished chicken. I used a 4 lb organic chicken, it came out golden, juicy and so flavorful. I can typically make a good roasted chicken but this recipe takes my efforts up several notches. I will make this again and again.

My 2 year old NEVER has eaten chicken unless it was chicken tenders. This is the first time she has eaten regular cooked chicken and she LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! Thank you for finally getting my daughter to eat something healthy!!!!

This recipe is exceptional I watched her create the dish it looked beautiful so I had to try it. The bird was juicy and the flavor of the lemons, olives, and herbs makes my mouth water thinking about it. This would be an simple and elegant dish to serve any day but would wow your friends and family.
