Amazing recipe! I have done this recipe for the last 2 thanksgivings and my family loves it. Normally the most leftovers is stuffing...not anymore! the stuffing is the first to go LOL Thank you Alex for such a wonderful recipe.

I'm not normally a stuffing person, but this recipe is amazing! I must admit, I was somewhat hesitant about the pepperoni, but decided to keep it in (why not, right?. It really added a lot of flavor and my in-laws loved it! It was the only dish that was gone at the end of the meal! The one thing I did differently was to bake the stuffing, only because I got to my mother in law's too late and her turkey was already in the oven. I will definitely make this again next year, and hopefully I'll even be able to stuff it in the turkey!

Alex, I can not begin to thank you enough for the most incredible tip on cooking a turkey I have ever heard. I used the cheese-cloth method soaked in butter as you suggested, and we enjoyed the BEST turkey I have EVER made or eaten on Thanksgiving!! I will never cook a turkey without using this method. Happy Holidays from Las Vegas, NV! Laura

I loved it. Turkey was unbelievably moist and tasty. I would leave the pepperoni out though, too much. All my friends and family were enjoying it.

Um....gingerjoy...Myles Standish is not the name of Alex's father. Her father's name is John. LOL

First, a note to Kenneth from Virgina: most likely Miles Standish is the name of Alex's father, so she must know how he spelled his name. Second, i can't wait to make this on Thanksgiving - I love all of Alex's recipes, and she makes everything look lovingly easy and delish!

Since this is for Thanksgiving, a holiday our family enjoys very much, two clarifications: 1.MYLES, for Myles Standish, Pilgrim, Plimouth Plantation , not Miles, 2. I doubt very much that any Pilgrim knew what pepperoni and mozzarella cheese were, let alone dijon mustard and Marsalla wine.

The recipe sounds worthy of a try otherwise.

I came across this recipe a few years back and it has been our tradition ever since. My in-laws are Italian and we are celebrating with them this year, I am eager to serve it to them! I know they will love it as much as we do! It's amazing!

Wow, I have never made such a juicy and finger licking good turkey. My family loved the stuffing and had little to save for leftovers. I reccomend this to anyone wanting to make a Thanksgiving dinner to wow their guests.
