Let me start by saying I don't like stuffing. It gets in the way of the most important part of the meal, THE BIRD. That being said, this stuffing is the greatest ever. You don't have to eat it just for Thanksgiving either. It is a meal in itself. MAKE IT! You will be stoked that you did.

I never really liked dressing. This will be our new tradition in dressing!! everyone loved it, even my kids. I could eat this all year long. You have to try it, even if it is not Thanksgiving. Thanks you Alex for a great recipe!!

I admit when I saw pepperoni and mozzarella I thought - WHAT????
BUT after I thought about it I said it's like using any spicy sausage and the mozzarella gives it a creamy texture that's amazing! I LOVE this recipe! And every single person that's had it loves it just as much!
    THANK YOU Alex!

I have to say i meant to try this recipe out because i saw Alex making it in the cooking loft, not confident that i would accomplish the same. I bought all the ingredients and to my surprise, the whole family fell in love with this dinner. The stuffing was great!!!! and when my family asked about how i found out about this recipe and almost wanted to say it was own creation but i had to give credit to the true chef. My family is looking forward to this years thanksgiving. thanks Alex. <3

Made the entire recipe for Thanksgiving, family thought it was great. Christmas will be at a relatives house and I have been asked to bring this stuffing. My only modifications were I left out the gizzards and replaced the pepperoni with salami (I had a huge amount from Costco, had to use it in something.

The cheese cloth idea worked well on the turkey as did the flipping the bird (no pun intended upside-down during resting.

The entire dinner tasted like a gourmet cooked it instead of a 40yr old dad without much experience in the kitchen.

I had this for Thanksgiving - from the recipe.
It did sound strange when I was told what was in it, but oh my it was delish!
The stuffing and gravy were top notch. There is a reason for a seperate gravy recipe tho. Don't try to make pan gravy, the sausage & peperoni make for greasy drippings.

We usually have a sausage stuffing. Intrigued after watching the show, I made a batch to try on the side. Now we have tons of leftover sausage stuffing, but not one spoonful of Alex's version remained after dinner. I agree that the recipe did not follow the show. Be sure to cook the pepperoni first and then cook the vegetables! Delicious! (You might want to cook extra pepperoni to account for all the family sneaking by and stealing peices while you are cooking the rest of the ingredients!

I made the stuffing and it was excellent. No one in my family likes stuffing but all our guests do and whether you like it or not everyone expects stuffing on Thanksgiving. Stuffing lovers and stuffing haters alike all enjoyed this stuffing. I only made it because it looked so good on the show. When I went on the website I saw the recipe was completely different. She did not add heart and gizzards on the show and she made it in a completely different order. Thank goodness someone had already posted the directions from the show in the comments because I had already deleted it. I have never had a recipe vary so much between the website and the show. So I was afraid to follow the recipe on the website for fear that I might get different results. After seeing a chef perpare the dish you can only assume, if they made it that way that is the way they want it. So I would only recommend this recipe if you follow the one from the show. It is really upsetting to think that you have to watch a show and then compare notes with the website. But at least the show recipe was delicious. If you have not seen the show and want to make the stuffing read the comment "Food Network ruined this recipe"!!

I made the turkey portion of this and it turned out really well. On the show, Alex recommended turning the turkey upside down while it is resting before carving to allow the juices to go back down in to the breast. Great idea! It's a very basic, nothing fancy way of cooking turkey but was very moist and delicious!
