This is the best weeknight recipe for a family!!!! Because it can marinade longer, you can put in thr fridge the night before and grill it up when you get home from work. If you don't have time for the Harissa, my kids love this with their favorite hot wings sauce.

Used chicken thighs only and the flavor was great. We used Greek yogurt for the marinade and changed out serrano peppers for the bell peppers to add more heat to the harissa. After flipping the thighs added slices of lemon over top the chicken for the last 20 minutes of grilling. Would make this dish again and again. Thanks Alex

Made without the harissa since I didn't have any in the pantry. Loved the chicken. The yogurt does make it very tender. Love your show Alex, one that I feel like I can make the recipes.

It was very good (and very simple, making it a nice summer dish, though a bit spicy for my husband's palate (not for mine. I used purchased harissa (not hard to find in Connecticut and the yogurt kept the chicken nice and moist. I am puzzled that by the reviewer who left out the harissa and found the dish bland (duh! you leave out the ingredient that gives the chicken flavor, what did you expect?.

I have a question. Can you make this recipe using Non-Fat Greek yogurt? It is the only type of yogurt I ever buy.

This was my first time to use yogurt as a marinade, and I had great results! I made this dish for our Fathers' Day lunch, and my whole family loved it. The kids could leave off the harissa, because it was a bit spicy, and enjoy the chicken - the adults loved the abundant layers of flavor. I followed the recipe exactly and will do so again - this dish was perfect!

I followed this recipe to a T, except for the Harissa and the chicken lacked flavor. I felt very disappointed. I let the chicken marinade for 12 hours before cooking it. I had to add more salt and lemon in order to make it more edible.

Excellent! One mistake FN made when transribing though is laying the chicken in the marinade skin side up. It should be skin side down, and brush some marinade onto the bottom side. Wipe off the excess before grilling. I also put the harissa on the chicken about ten minutes before I took it off the grill so it was warm and smokey. Note to person putting yogurt in the harissa, it will spoil after a couple of days, even if you cover it in olive oil! Don't put milk products in things you intend to keep for more than a couple of days.
