Can you put it in the oven instead of on the grill because we have a very small charcoal grill.

The only problem I really have with this recipe is clean up. . . I do it so often that I've bought a rack to make the chicken stand up, but there is the problem with collecting the grease. . . I usually use an old pie tin, but removal is still a bear. I think i will invest in a pair of silicone gloves.

So far it's the best chicken we've had, but we haven't tried all of Guy's Recipes yet!! I'm sure it will always be in the top running though!!

It is so easy and comes out perfect. I did turn on the broiler at the end so the skin was nice and crisp.

This is great & so easy. Plus the chicken is juicy & tender. Sometimes I use BBQ sauce at the end of cooking.

No professional cooking school required. I have been making this chicken for about a year now, and use Emeril's essence for the rub, inside and out. Loose the sauce, it isn't needed, the flavor is so good.

I have cooked whole chickens like this for 6 years..it is the BEST way to cook a whole chicken..no wonder this is the contest winner..There is also a recipe for beer can chicken on cookinglight.com that is exceptional using the same idea/method but makes a coca cola Barbq sauce that goes so well with this chicken..Once you cook chicken this way, I doubt you will want to cook it any other way again... My 85 year old mom loves when its Chicken tonite!!!
