I needed to whip together something quick because my in-laws were dropping by last minute. This was a hit. Everyone loved the flavor, and it was very easy to do. It was delicious warm, and even better the next day when the glaze hardened. I used Captain Morgan rum.

I have been baking for quite a few years and I am known for my deserts. A Rum Cake should not be difficult. I lost my recipe and went to the tride and true foodtv.com for help. I chose this one because of the 5 star rating and went to work. I have now ruined 2 cakes thinking I did something wrong. Finally I looked up another recipe and saw the problem. The measurements are way too small. The cake has no taste and the glaze siezed up with no way to repair it. This recipe was a huge mistake. Google Rum Cake and use the Bacardi Rum Cake recipe and you will not be sorry.
