I found this soup to be flat and boring. I added a little sugar, some nutmeg and cinnamon and it livened it up a bit.

I made this last night and we both loved it. Very easy to make, the hardest part was probably peeling all the carrots. I used fat free half and half that I had on hand and it still turned out great. A keeper recipe!

This soup is so much more than a sum of its parts. I did not expect to love this dish as much as I did. It is simply delicious! I did use the cream, but preferred it without the sour cream garnish. I felt the sour cream detracted from the warm and yummy flavor of the soup. A definite keeper!

Really tasty and creamy soap. Really worth the little effort it takes to make this soup.

I have made this recipe many times for all sorts of occasions. No matter what type meal I have served this with, it is always a hit. I cook around some serious dietary restrictions and have altered the recipe to accomodate them. I use fat-free half and half instead of the heavy cream, low fat sour cream and salt-free broth so that I can control the salt content. It is equally as good in this healthy version. I can pretty much guarantee if you make this once you will make it a second time.

This recipe was simple and pleasing. I switched out the chicken stock for vegetable stock, for a friend who is a vegetarian and a skater. It is thick with or without the cream for those watching their fat intake. It warms you right up

It's hard to believe that with four major ingredients you can make such a wildly delicious soup. And it's pretty healthy, too!

I definitely recommend this to anyone. It's so fast to make (for a soup, and the leftovers are even better than the first time you eat it!

A wonderful meld of onions, carrots and ginger; a combination I wouldn't have thought would 'fly' but it did.
