This is a very tasty dish and unless you think that eating hot dogs is redneck, totally not. I made this last night and my husband loved it. I did make a few changes. I used smoked sausage as that is what I had on hand. Saute'd them in the bacon grease then added it to the soup mix. I also used cream of celery and Jack cheese. I will make it again and will add green chili's to it when I do, for that little extra punch. We like things spicy. Give it try!

The combination of ingredients sounded strange, so I wasn't too surprised that it tasted strange. I'll eat it because it's there now, but no plans on making this again.

I gave this excellent because it was awesome tasty and you would never expect it out of the seemingly "cheap" ingredients. Has more flavor than you would ever expect from the recipe. Easy, tasty, and makes really good leftovers. I will make this again for sure!

I agree that the ingredients seemed a bit odd, but it was very good, I will make it again and you know you could very easily make this with chicken, the only thing I didn't do is add bacon to the top, I'm sure that would be great but it was not nessasary, I'm glad we tried it, :P.S, And were not rednecks, if you don't like hotdogs or casseroles why would you even try this, that's weird.

I made this for my kids for dinner tonight. I left out the broccoli because my kids don't eat it. Really tastes good! What a good idea!

Awesome dinner. I was worried about how it would taste. The flavors all came together nicely. The only thing I did deferentley was cook the dogs in a skillet before adding to the casserole.

I changed this recipe up a bit and we loved it! We're more of a veggies on the side kind of family, so I omitted the broccoli and the bacon and substituted ground beef sauteed with onion, salt, and pepper for the hot dogs. It's a different take on traditional beef stroganoff and quick and easy! This is a win-win recipe.

Everyone in my family loved it, which never happens, to get both of my kids (14 & 8 to enjoy the same thing is almost impossible. I even liked it and I do not like broccoli at all, it was a good flavor combination.

I had high hopes for this one. Hot dogs, pasta and cheese - what's not to love? Well cooking the hotdog in the casserole pan along with the canned soup made this dish extremely salty and unpalatable. Even if using a lower sodium soup I think it would still be too salty. And all that grease of the beef hot dogs and the cheese and I kept thinking of how not healthy the dish is (esp. with all the salt which in excess is so bad for you. At least when you boil hot dogs some of the fat leaves the dog.

I gave it 2 stars because maybe if you find low sodium turkey hotdogs (that are still tasty and lower sodium condensed soup then maybe it would be better?

I used cream of chicken accidentally, but it was great. I also browned the hotdog slices and mixed the whole 'sauce' up in the skillet before pouring it on.

It had a good flavor and was quite simple. I have a convection oven so it only took 10-15 minutes to warm the whole thing up to temp.
