I had some leftover perch and some shrimp and scallops in the freeezer. I went looking for a recipe and stumbled on this chowder. I used the perch in place of the haddock. Absolutely, the best chowder ever. Excellent!!!

I followed the recipe exactly as written, I used can clams, can mussles, and can oysters . I dont usually like sweet potatoes but in this recipe they tasted more like a sweet carrot. So the sweet potato gives it a little extra flavor. We all enjoyed our meal and I had extra for a few more meals. It was delicious.

Best chowder we've had. Fish ingredients can vary some and it is still excellent.

Fixed this for my firestation. Made a double batch for 8 guys and it still wasn't enough. They went back for thirds.
