I made these yesterday and they are so easy. I always thought making pretzels was intimidating, it's not! Try these, you won't be sorry. Rachel, they are titled "Almost Famous" because the Food Network Kitchens make copycats of famous recipes, like Cinnabon's cinnamon rolls, Applebee's maple butter blondie, etc. Type in Almost Famous in the recipe search and you will get a list of different Almost Famous recipes.

Just one question, why are they "almost" famous?

Making pretzels has seemed a tedious task in other recipes, but this was easy! Only two things I'd change: Divide dough into eight pieces instead of six(the pretzels were a bit thicker than the Auntie Annes, or make into pretzel sticks instead of full knot. Also, as another reviewer said, I would just brush butter on the pretzels. It's a waste of butter, and a LOT easier to just baste them! A must try!

I'm not kidding when I tell you these are really good. My son's friend was here spending the night when I made them. Now, this kid is a very picky eater and even he said, "these are better than the ones at the mall." There you have it. Now that I have conquered how to make them taste good, I need to work on how to shape them.

these turned out perfect. I used my bread machine on dough setting and eliminated a lot of work. I also made 8 pretzel's rather than six. next time I think I won't completely dunk the pretzels in butter but just brush the tops a little, not too much. that's the only change I would make. make sure you have a work area with enough room to roll out the pretzels. a lot of fun making these !!

I was so excited when I saw this recipe for pretzels that tasted like Auntie Anns pretzels! I was even more excited when they turned out to taste almost exactly the same! If you love pretzels you need to try this recipe. It was easy to make and the result tastes so good!

Even though I am an accomplished baker and cook, I have never attemped to work with yeast until this recipe. I was nervous about how it would turn out. Not anymore!! The pretzels came out WONDERFUL and tasted just like the mall ones. My family have now requested them for this fall and our famous tailgate party. Can't wait to make again and try adding jalapeno and some cheese. Thanks FN for making my first yeast experience great.

Love them and they are great with Honey Mustard Dressing or we have them with Nacho cheese sauce.

For years, I used a recipe for soft pretzels I found out of a cooking magazine, and I thought it was the best, but then here comes this recipe and I swear, for my family of 3, 3 batches of 8 pretzels each wasn't enough! I'm serious!!
The only recommendation I have is to make 8 out of the dough instead of 6, those are awfully big pretzels. And I hated the mustart dipping sauce on here. Just go for plain mustard, or whatever rubs you the right way. This is going in the recipe book! And if I, a 19 year old, can make this, then anyone can!
