Simple to cook - scrumptious to eat! Another winner from Alton!

If you like baked garlic, here's the dish for you. You get flavorful chicken along with whole garlic cloves that spread on bread like butter. Yum.

I enjoyed the finished product from this recipe and faound it very easy to make.
The only downside was the smell of Garlic lingered in the house for what seemed like a week.

The chicken tastes great. My favorite part is the carmelized garlic cloves. Crispy on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside!
Be warned, you will carry the unmistakable and strong scent of garlic with you for a while. Either make sure everyone has some or plan on some "alone" time afterward :-

Whenever I prepare this dish, my family and guests love it! Relatively simple, very tasty. The best of both worlds, especially for a busy working mom.

Great mild garlic flavor, not harsh at all. Tender chicken with spreadable roasted garlic. Wonderful!

I make this often. Absolutely delicious! The garlic is wonderful for spreading on bread. 40 cloves of garlic may seem like a lot but it is worth it.

Oh my GOODNESS... my family are such garlic fiends, the toast was fantastic! The chicken was just right, and I added rosemary to the mix as well. I put a few tender sprigs in the oil- my family wound up eating them, too... they fried up nicely and were crispy and GOOD. We love Good Eats!
