I HAVE MADE THIS RECIPE FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. IT IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC!! THE ONLY CHANGE I RECOMMEND IS TO PUT THE PICLKLING SPICE IN A CHEESECLOTH BAG. THIS KEEPS THE PICKLING SPICE INGREDIENTS OUT OF THE BRINE AND OFF THE PICKLES WHEN YOU GET READY TO EAT THEM. BOIL THE BRINE WITH BAG THEN DISCARD BAG. I ALSO ADD PLENTY OF ONION. I HAVE ALSO MADE RECIPE WITH JALAPENOS, CUT LONG AND ROUND SLICES, TERRIFIC!! HOT A AND SWEET. GREAT!

Of all the different types of pickles I've made, these are the ones everybody wants. With way (WAY too many cucumbers on the vine this morning, I'm printing out a fresh copy of this recipe today.

This recipe is so easy to follow and makes the best pickles, you want to eat them before the brine is even cool. Yum!

This is a great recipe, for wonderful pickles. The juice is wonderful all by itself! Be sure to heed Alton's warning about being careful when pouring the liquid into the jars--the liquid will stain.

This is a great, quick reciped for bread and butter pickles, just watch out for using plastic containers for storage- they will become your 'pickle containers' from the initial vinegar aroma. Other than that, they taste great, and it's a pretty quick recipe.
