What made this simple recipe so great were the additional hints given on the actual show, e.g. shaken vs. stirred, and why to add the olive first. It would be great if some of these extras were included with the online recipe.

Just as good as the best Martini I ever had - the Fountain at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia.

Excellent way to make a martini, I usually like them on the rocks, but making a martini this way changes my mind. Very smooth.

I was introduced to vodka martinis and I always thought they were way too sweet - I realize now in addition to having too much vermouth the vodka wasn't doing the same thing the gin does.

Pouring out the vermouth after shaking still makes it a little to dry and gin-flavored to me, I prefer adding a little less than a half-oz, shaking, and adding the gin.
