Super easy to make and very tasty. My two-year-old gobbled up thirds! I was out of sambal, so Hubby thinks the flavor was quite basic. We will make agin and will try adding the sambal and maybe some other flavors. Thanks Alton, this was great!

Yum! I'm Chinese-American (second generation and very particular about Chinese food. After watching the episode, I decided to make the dish for my parents when they were visiting. The verdict: tasty and pretty authentic! Hey, coming from someone who knows Chinese food, that is high praise. My dad did comment that he thought it was a little on the spicy side (I love spicy, so I thought it had a good flavor. On a side note, I diid not have plain sambal chili paste on hand, but I had the version with garlic -- used that and I thought it was great.

Delicious! Everyone loved it. I made it with half the chili paste so the little ones could eat it and they did. It still had just enough heat. Great!

This is a great recipe to have for a weeknight meal. However, since my husband doesn't eat pork I substituted freshly ground chicken thigh, which I think made this taste a tad bland so I added a little fish sauce, hoisin and sesame oil at the end. The leftovers were also fantastic.

This is so easy and great! I first used rice noodles because I could not find bean noodles anywhere. It worked fine but the meat didn't adhere like it did when I used the bean noodles. I always double the recipe as my husband loves it and actually eats these leftovers. If your local grocery doesn't sell bean noodles, they are available online.

My first time trying to cook any sort of Asian dish. It work well. We have since spiced it up by adding sesame oil, extra sambal, and some fresh green chile peppers to it!

This dish is our new favorite food. I recently prepared a huge batch (4x the recipe when my Filipino family was visiting from Hawaii. Everyone loved it, we only had a small bowl left over after 14 people had their fill. I did use Sriracha chili paste because I couldn't find Sambal, and used rice wine vinegar because I couldn't find rice wine. It's still AWESOME!

Delicious! I have made this twice now. Once according to the original recipe, and once adding a touch of sesame oil and substituting kelp noodles for mung bean. Both were fantastic!

Thank you Alton for your many years of fantastic recipies and entertaining yet educational shows!
