Brown rice can be bothersome to make on the stove. I love this recipe because I don't have to watch over a pot of rice and water. I just put it in the oven and forget about it! Thanks Alton!

I've never been able to make brown rice properly, until now. The rice turned out perfectly! Yum! And it was sooooo easy!

I have often had trouble cooking brown rice on the stovetop without having it come out sticky. Alton's simple technique renders perfectly-cooked rice. I'll use this method from now on. Thanks!

This is a never fail method of cooking brown rice. I have doubled the recipe each time that I have prepared it and it always comes out perfect! The nutty aroma of the rice as it cooks makes it hard for my family to wait for dinner. No sticky mess to clean up, no guessing if it is done and no burnt surprises at the bottom of a pan. Just like the title of his program is Good Eats, this recipe makes brown rice very Good Eats!

Very easy to make. It takes a long time to cook, but the results are very good. The rice is fluffy, not exploded and overly sticky. I like it under chili.

Short grain rices are problematic in rice makers, and this is a great low input recipe. I have used this on the Rice Diet Solution and it has helped me lose 25 lbs. To change it up, steep different tea bags before adding the water to the rice. Also, a bouquet garni adds a nice amount of flavor that amounts to caloric freebies.

Super easy - pop in the oven and end up with perfectly fluffy rice.
