I love cobbler of any kind and this really took the pain in the neck out of making it. It is veyr easy, and very good. In fact I keep a batch of the crumble stuff in the freezer that way I can make them whenever the fancy strikes me.

Yummy, filling, and fun to make. I used both the recommended Braeburn and Granny Smith apples. I found the Granny Smith to pair much better with the topping, though the Granny Smith apples didn't hold their shape in the oven as well as the Braeburns did. This would be remedied by peeling a thin strip along the equator of the apple.

While the topping was good, it didn't do too much to flavor the apple itself.

This was an awesome recipe. I loved it. Next time, I am going to try it in a "crisp" style, as opposed to scooping out each apple.

This recipe is quick and fun. My 5 year old daughter and I had a ball making this together. It fun for kids to mush the topping together. A lot of the ingredients are already around the house.

A friend made these. Very easy to do and taste GREAT! Good option for a large (or small dinner party dessert without killing yourself. A little different yet familiar at the same time. Highly recommended.

I ran out of apples and baked a few pears with the same method. They turned out great.

Again, Alton has made "the simple" into "the divine"!
