I cooked these on my Trager grill for my Son's birthday last September, I and everyone loved them. My Son's mom, my ex said they were the best ribs she had ever tasted. The fresh spices really make a difference. I didn't have a spice grinder to grind the nutmeg which were about the size of a small pecan nut so I used my coffee grinder, don't try this it will break the blades, at least mine did.

These are amazing. I had trouble with ta he temp control, so I will be buying the thermometer AB recommended so I can constantly make these.

Absolutely as good as he promised. Maybe a tiny bit too salty - but the rub was a wonderful medley of flavors and the ribs moist on the inside, crisp on the outside with a hint of smoke flavor as it should be, not overpowering, all a very nice blend. We don't have a smoker, we used our grill and kept it low and slow using a bowl of water inside.

I love ribs and I have tried several different recipes for making them, but this is by far my favorite! I don't have a smoker so I used my oven and liquid smoke. I added the liquid smoke to the mustard and also filled a small oven safe dish with water, added liquid smoke, covered it with foil, and poked a few small holes in it. They tasted like they were fresh off the smoker and made my whole house smell like the best BBQ joint in town. The only change I made to the actual recipe was that I added about 1/3 cup packed brown sugar for a sweet note since I like my ribs a little sweet and a little spicy. I can now say that I have stopped the search for a great rib recipe! As always, Alton comes through!

OH MY WORD!!! These Ribs were "fall off the bone" delicious. Served them with homemade Cole Slaw and fresh Green Beans....... Yummy yum yum. I think there are maybe 3 ribs left, and some slaw.
I don't have a smoker or grill, so I made them in the oven and put some Hickory chips on a tray on the lower rack. The aroma of these ribs just permiated my house with such an awesome smell. Yum

Alton Brown, you are my hero... at least for tonight. Gotta try this one folks.
