I had brussels sprouts once before, about 18 years ago. After seeing this episode I have made them twice in a week and a half, and will continue to make this a staple. I have a 3 month old son and it is so easy to prepare and cook the sprouts in between taking care of him, and it's a nutritious snack or lunch addition for me. Delicious!

yummy and buttery... i heart brussel sprouts and have actually gotten friends to like them too....

I seriously eat bowls of them, like this, with a little salt (or shredded cheddar if i want the extra fatty treat while watching movies.

I have been eating brussels sprouts for as long as I can remember. However, I had always had frozen ones. I saw some fresh ones on sale at the grocery store and decided to buy them instead. Then I wasn't sure how to cook them and searched Food Network's website for recipes. I decided to use this one and I'm glad I did. Both of my teenage daughters like brussels sprouts and now the youngest only wants to eat them prepared like this.

I have always "almost" liked Brussel Sprouts but they seemed smushy and a bit bitter. Not with this cooking method. I love them I have eaten a wheelbarrel load of those things over the past few months.

These are so easy and come out fabulous, nice nutty, buttery taste to them. I added 1 clove of minced garlic to the steaming water and it added a nice depth to the flavour. Highly recommend these.

I've been microwaving frozen for about 22 years. This is the first time I've ever attempted fresh. The recipe is very easy and the flavor and texture was amazing, not mushy. Even with nothing but salt and pepper, the sprouts had a butter flavor to them. I'll never go back to frozen.
