    I don't know many people who actually like Green Bean Casserole but I haven't met anyone who didn't like this. One particular curmudgeon would not say so, but said it "didn't *****"...as he took his second helping. Its not a star at the Thanksgiving table, but it is staple now 4 years running. Thanks Alton.

    We really loved these. The beans were nice and al dente, not soggy. The mushrooms, even if you aren't a fan, give it the "cream of mushroom soup flavor". and the onions on top were better than the greasy canned ones. (Goes great with Alton's turkey fyi........

    Made this last Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. It was all gone. One adjustment to make it easier I used store bought onions the canned ones and it was still delish.

    This recipe has been a family for the last few years! I love the flavor, the best part is it doesn't get soggy like other green bean casseroles can. I recommend this to everyone!

    Help. I want to make this casserole, but my sister's husband won't eat anything with mushrooms, can I make this without mushrooms What should I use instead.
