As my girlfriend said before trying this, "I do not like creamed corn, it's nasty. Since it's an AB recipe, I'll give it a try."
I have converted yet another person who disliked something into something they liked. Actually, she loved it. Other converted foods was pumpkin pie and pecan pie, both AB's, with a co-worker.
I love this recipe, this will make into my collection of recipes. I followed the recipe exactly, fresh corn and all. I'll have to see the reviews here on how it works with frozen corn cobs.

This is the best creamed corn ever! It's summer so the fresh corn is awesome anyway but adding the fresh rosemary and turmeric puts this over the top!
Made this again but had to use frozen corn since it's winter.Still came out great as I used the tip from another reviewer and gave it a bit of a buzz with my immersion blender.

Once again, Alton delivers! He is my "go to" chef. Thanks! This will be a definite addition to our Thanksgiving tradition.

Best creamed corn EVER! Used farm fresh corn...it was fabulous. We make it every year at Thanksgiving with frozen corn from the farm. Thanks Alton!

By far the best creamed corn I ever had. It's an esay recipe for anyone to do. Give it a few minutes to hang out before you jump into it. Give it time to cool off. All the flavors will come together. It is so good you may feel like bathing in it.

The best recipe ever! Alton Brown ROCKS! Follow the recipe exactly - the rosemary, corn meal and turmeric makes this dish. I also roast my fresh corn on the grill in the summer for added flavor. Adding a small can of roasted green chilies adds some color and spice. Once I had left- over lobster tail meat and added it and it was wonderful. Crab meat or shrimp would be delightful as well.

This was outstanding and a snap for a first time use recipe. I followed the tips from the comments about blending some of the corn (I had to use frozen with the cream/salt/pepper to get the texture right and it was absolutely fantastic. This will be a staple for Thanksgiving! Served to international guests and they loved it too. Also, since it goes together so quickly, it can be made and served in minutes. Love it!

I made this creamed corn without cornmeal last year with my thanksgiving turkey. This recipe was awesome. I will definitely make this side dish again this year. Also, I recommend all my friends to make this dish for their thanksgiving dinner with turkey. Can any tel me would it be better with cornmeal? I hardly used cornmeal for my daily cooking; therefore, I am thinking not to buy it. However, if cornmeal will make this dish even better. I really want to try.

This was my first time to stray from my grandmother's creamed corn recipe... (which is the main reason for choosing this recipe! and I'll be sticking to this one! I made a few variations because I hadn't planned on making this and didn't have a few things in my kitchen. I didn't have turmeric, so I used a little cayenne pepper, and I didn't have rosemary, so instead of the herb taste I went for a heartier taste and added cooked bacon as the last step. So good! Next time I think I will add chopped bell peppers in with the onions.
