By far the best creamed corn I ever had. It's an esay recipe for anyone to do. Give it a few minutes to hang out before you jump into it. Give it time to cool off. All the flavors will come together. It is so good you may feel like bathing in it.

The best recipe ever! Alton Brown ROCKS! Follow the recipe exactly - the rosemary, corn meal and turmeric makes this dish. I also roast my fresh corn on the grill in the summer for added flavor. Adding a small can of roasted green chilies adds some color and spice. Once I had left- over lobster tail meat and added it and it was wonderful. Crab meat or shrimp would be delightful as well.

This was outstanding and a snap for a first time use recipe. I followed the tips from the comments about blending some of the corn (I had to use frozen with the cream/salt/pepper to get the texture right and it was absolutely fantastic. This will be a staple for Thanksgiving! Served to international guests and they loved it too. Also, since it goes together so quickly, it can be made and served in minutes. Love it!

I made this creamed corn without cornmeal last year with my thanksgiving turkey. This recipe was awesome. I will definitely make this side dish again this year. Also, I recommend all my friends to make this dish for their thanksgiving dinner with turkey. Can any tel me would it be better with cornmeal? I hardly used cornmeal for my daily cooking; therefore, I am thinking not to buy it. However, if cornmeal will make this dish even better. I really want to try.

This was my first time to stray from my grandmother's creamed corn recipe... (which is the main reason for choosing this recipe! and I'll be sticking to this one! I made a few variations because I hadn't planned on making this and didn't have a few things in my kitchen. I didn't have turmeric, so I used a little cayenne pepper, and I didn't have rosemary, so instead of the herb taste I went for a heartier taste and added cooked bacon as the last step. So good! Next time I think I will add chopped bell peppers in with the onions.

I made this for Christmas and my son who doesn't even like creamed corn loved it. He insisted on taking all the leftovers home! The only change I made was I made it with frozen corn. I can't wait to make it with fresh!YumYumYum!!

Yum! Didn't have fresh rosemary but a bit of dried rosemary was still a hit. Used 1 1/2 bags of frozen corn to do 1/2 the servings listed and it worked out great. (Note: 1 ear of corn yields 6 oz Pleasantly surprised because turmeric makes me nervous, but it went so well with this dish. Went well with a simple roast beef (recipe from America's Test Kitchen and Ann Burrell's Smashed Potato Gratin.

Three words: Oh... my... god. This is the best creamed corn I have ever tasted. So creamy, rich, and delicious. I made this for Thanksgiving, so corn was not in season locally; I used frozen organic corn kernels instead with great results.

LOVE this recipe! I made it for a sunday dinner with ham and it turned out so great. I added some jalepenos and did not have corn meal so I substituted jiffy mix, just a little. It turned out so great, I have made this before for easter and followed the recipe to the T and turned out wonderful! Alton is great!
