This is probably the best blue cheese dressing I've ever made! I decided to use 2 different types of blue cheese, Pt. Reyes and Danish. It came out great and had just the right amount of blue cheese.

Wow! This was so good! I followed the recipe exactly except used Best Foods (Hellman's light mayo. It was tangy and mild, and very thick.

I normally love Alton's recipes and cooking tips, but this just didn't work. I'm puzzled by the other positive feedback that I previously read and that encouraged me to make it. My first reaction was that all I tasted was mayonaise. Overall it was very bland and too thick. I'm further puzzled by the comment that it was too buttermilk-y. All I could think of was, add more buttermilk to thin it out. The gorganzola was overpowered by the other ingredients and so it lacked in taste. In addition to more buttermilk, I added lemon juice which helped the flavor quite a bit, but I won't be looking to make this again anytime soon.

Great! I used blue cheese and added a bit of fresh crushed garlic. My favorite recipe so far!

This dressing was fast, easy and absolutely delicious. I used fat free half and half instead of the buttermilk and mixed it up in an instant with my immersion blender. It is also great with veggies!!!

We made this recipe with the sour cream we had on hand, which was reduced fat. We found the dressing to be very buttermilk-y. While we thought it was good, we wondered if using full fat sour cream might give it a better mix of flavor.

This is the best and easiest Blue Cheese dressing. For an added zip, think about adding 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or other smoked red chili.
