Easy, tasty and very surprising! Like some of the other reviews, we always have celery left over that turns to rubber, but not after finding this recipe. It really was a pleasant surprise for all of us in the family -- even my two young kids liked it.

Just finished making this to have with dinner tonight! I used homemade chicken stock instead of beef. This is a wonderful and economical side dish!

I needed a vegetable to serve with roasted chicken. My wife always makes stock from the bones of the chicken from the week before so we always have that around and I made it with that. The kids scarfed it up. My 6-old son said "Outstanding". Simple and delicious. This one's a keeper. Thank you Alton!

I tried this because I'm always on the look out for healthier side dishes and new ways to eat my vegetables. I gave this a whirl and I was shocked to realize my celery tasted like steak!

Fantastic side dish with wonderful flavor with such minimal effort. Highly recommend.

I put celery in several recipes, but still end up throwing away some. This recipe has solved my problem...and it is really good.

I love celery but usually eat it raw or cooked with something. This makes a nice side for rich food. Goes great with ham

Braised celery is a wonderful recipe. It was very easy to prepare--even on a busy stove top. Prior to dinner, everyone laughed at me when I told them that I was making braised celery, but they happily ate their words. The braised celery side dish stole the show.

I used Swanson's organic low-sodium beef broth, and this came out great. Thanks, Alton.
